Social Enterprise UK (SEUK) have an established and extremely well regarded policy & research function. Our policy work on behalf of the social enterprise sector has won us awards and recognition at the highest level and our research work has been replicated around the world. The State of Social Enterprise survey, now in its tenth year, is regarded as the foremost of its type in the world. We have also delivered research work in partnership with organisations as diverse as PwC, Power to Change Trust, Wates Group, Big Lottery Fund and the British Council. Under our new Chair, there are ambitious plans to further our policy and public affairs work and develop a new, bolder narrative around the work of the social enterprise sector. 

SEUK is the national membership body for social enterprise. Social enterprises are businesses with a social or environmental mission. At SEUK, we offer business support, do research, develop policy, campaign, build networks, share knowledge and understanding and raise awareness of social enterprise and what it can achieve. We also provide training and consultancy to organisations in the public, private and social sectors.

SEUK was established in 2002 as the Social Enterprise Coalition and is a dynamic, membership organisation. Our members are not just social enterprises. They come from all sectors and include private businesses, charities and public sector organisations. What unites them is their belief in the power of social enterprise, business where society profits.

For this role, we are looking for a proactive leader to build on our enviable track record and bring fresh ideas and impetus to it. The post-holder will support initiatives to increase research and business-related income. Funding Opportunity Identification: Identify, promote and develop opportunities for research related areas, to enhance the research and knowledge exchange portfolio of the sector.
