We are passionate about the Social Enterprise sector, and alongside selling high demand, consumer facing products, we feel a responsibility to help grow the 'Buy Social' industry. In London, we manufacture and market a range of quality soaps and toiletries under three core brands – CLARITY, The Soap Co. and CLARITYECO+ (launching Jan 2018), alongside a small physical retail brand, The Soap Co Keswick. The more products we sell, the more people with disabilities we can train and employ. We have multiple routes to market, strong product brands, a loyal consumer base and a blossoming business client base. With our new strategy and our big plans for the future, we need a highly capable Business Development team to play a key role helping us to achieve these ambitious goals. In this newly created role you will work within a small, highly motivated team which is informal, open for new ideas and passionate about doing good. Through this role you will be able to implement our ambitious strategy and shape the future of the organisation. We’re at an early stage of building new routes to market so there’s a lot to do and a great opportunity to help us increase the social benefits that we can provide. Our key customers are the co-working spaces, design agencies, retailers, hotels, bars and restaurants across major cities that pride themselves on creating a great customer and/or employee experience. Your key responsibilities will include: Actively and tirelessly seek opportunities for business development with distributers and retailers - Selling our luxury soap and various products - Identify, research, seed, secure and then build a new customer base of your own Grow and develop highly successful commercial relationships with new and existing clients to increase their current business Assist in creating, negotiating and closing commercial agreements Act as a trusted interface between the client and the business Prepare regular progress reports and forecasts using business development metrics Communicate key account information, resolve challenges and queries and report relevant success measures to the Head of Commercial Attend events, conferences and trade shows, to network and speak and learn more about the various industries we operate in (cosmetics, HORECA, disability and SE) We are looking to for a keen professional to join our business development team mostly based at our offices in East London (E4 9JD). You must be motivated by working in a business with a strong social purpose and completely driven to achieve excellent results and make a big difference. **You are likely to have 3-7 years’ experience in a corporate client facing role, or a similar number of years of experience in a sales focused role. We recognise the value you will bring based on either of these routes into CLARITY. A keen interest in areas such as sustainability, ethical consumerism and/or inclusive workplaces.
